Cristiano Ronaldo celebrated his 32nd birthday on Sunday with his family as the Real Madrid star enjoys a weekend off from football.

Ronaldo’s mother took to Instagram to post a photo of herself posing with the Ballon d’Or winner and his son, Cristiano Jnr, next to his birthday cake, captioning the picture: ‘Congratulations.’

The Portuguese forward has been given extra time off to celebrate his birthday as Real’s game with Celta Vigo on Sunday was postponed after a storm damaged the roof of the Rio Alto Balaidos Stadium.

Vigo’s mayor, Abel Caballero, said he could not allow Sunday’s game to go ahead until the stadium is deemed to be safe for spectators.

Ronaldo and his Real team-mates now have two matches in hand after enjoying an unexpected weekend off from their league campaign.

Zinedine Zidane’s side currently sit one point ahead of arch rivals Barcelona at the top of La Liga and three clear of third-placed Sevilla after 21 matches.
