Smart Transit team, 2 others emerge the winners at the just concluded first ever United Nation’s SDG Hackathon which was the held over the weekend in Lagos.
The other two teams are Floews and Legitcar teams. The three days programme which was held across 9 countries around the world is expected to generate three wonderful ideas from each of the countries.
Rezponder recalls that over five hundred youths registered for the Lagos Hackathon, while 80 participants were chosen. The 80 participated were later distributed to 12 teams of great ideas, however, only three emerge as the winner to defend their ideas alongside other emerging ideas at the UN.
The Lagos UN hackathon was facilitated by Passion Incubator and hosted by Sidmach Technologies Nigeria Limited, with sponsors such as Ford Foundation, Microsoft, Printivo and Starta.
These winners will be given resources and support by the UN to improve, test and scale their ideas and ultimately become real businesses. They would be placed on the Influx Trust crowdfunding page to attract suitable investors, mentors and human resources and will also have a chance to demo at the UN headquarters, New York city in June 2017.
